The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is an arm’s-length body sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions, established at the beginning of 2019, and also engages with HM Treasury on policy matters relating to financial capability and debt advice.

Money Helper (from MaPS)

MoneyHelper is here to make your money and pension
choices clearer. Here to put you in control with impartial help that’s on your side, backed by government and free to use.

PayPlan

We are partnered with PayPlan, meaning we can make referrals to their service, on your behalf, if you wish.

PayPlan is one of the UK’s leading free debt advice providers, who offer trusted, expert help and advice to anyone struggling with multiple debts.  Since 1992, they’ve helped over 1 million people take control of their finances.

PayPlan will show you all the different debt solutions that are out there so you’ve got a clear idea of what your options are, and how each one could help you. They can also advise you on what the best solution is for your circumstances, plus any other options that might work for you.

If you’d like, they can set up a debt solution that fixes your situation, lowers your repayments and gives you the chance to move forward with your life the way it should be: without debt being part of it.

On the other hand, you can just contact them for advice about how best to deal with your debts, then take some time to decide what you want to do next. Whether you’re just looking for some debt advice you can trust or want to get into a solution straight away, their help is free to everyone, and doesn’t have any obligations, strings attached or hidden costs.
